Pope Leo boarded a Falcon jet offered by the King of Spain after a technical issue grounded the larger papal plane on the island of Tenerife, delaying his return to the Vatican on Friday at the end of a week-long tour of Spain.
The Spanish government said the air force plane used by the king would fly the pope and several members of his delegation to Rome. The rest of the delegation and reporters will travel on another plane being sent from Madrid.
教宗良十四世登上了西班牙国王提供的一架猎鹰喷气式飞机，此前技术故障导致大型教宗专机在特内里费岛停飞，延误了他周五结束对西班牙一周访问后返回梵蒂冈的行程。
西班牙政府表示，国王使用的空军飞机将搞载教宗及其部分代表团成员飞往罗马。其余代表团成员和记者将乘坐从马德里派出的另一架飞机前往。
